    I Am Elizabeth Smart

    Premieres November 18 at 9 E/P
    Starring: Alana Boden

I Am Elizabeth Smart is a fully authorized retelling of the infamous Elizabeth Smart kidnapping - this time from Elizabeth's perspective. Elizabeth was abducted from her bedroom on June 5, 2002, at the age of 14, and was held prisoner by Brian Mitchell and his wife, Wanda Barzee. For nine months, she was starved, force-fed alcohol and drugs, raped and subjected to bizarre, religious rituals. Less than a year after she was released, her family authorized a quick TV movie about their struggles to find her, but that wasn't even half the story. Integrating Elizabeth's interviews and narration directly into the movie, I Am Elizabeth Smart gives Elizabeth the chance to tell her story as it really happened, digging deeper into her ordeal, clearing up misconceptions about her captivity, and setting the record straight about how and why she was rescued.
